In this highly mobile world, the role traditionally performed by mentors has been consciously and systematically replaced by coaches. No longer is it the norm for an individual to stay within the typical family or business. No longer do we have as great an access to those who in the past may have served as teachers and mentors. The role of personal, business, and/or relationship coaches has dynamically shifted to account for those changes in our mobility. Even if one is fortunate to have a mentor, a coach’s role can be invaluable.
